Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering and was fixed in Notes 6.5.1,
6.0.4, and 7.0.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.1 MR fix list (available at
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):
Single logon
SPR# DMAN5MKM4M - Notes single logon password change via Windows now works in a
Notes multi-user install (non-roaming).
If you have not yet upgraded, the only workaround in a multi-user environment
is to always initiate password changes from the Lotus Notes client.
To synchronize the password, do the following:
1. Log into the operating system using your OS password.
2. Log into the Notes client using your Notes password.
3. Change the Notes password and let the Notes client synchronize the password
to the operating system.
4. Re-enter the old operating system password.
5. Log off from the operating system and then log back in.
Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.

a multi-user installation, users' notes.ini files altered after changing
operating system password" (#1214848). More >
